Being a good example is so important. Children will learn responsibility by being immersed in an atmosphere of love and empathy. They will learn it from excellent role models, and parents have a wonderful opportunity to be just that. Specific praise is has a far-reaching effect on children. It is a powerful reward. Yours is a good reminder to steer away from chastisement, and find more ways to comment on the good behaviour. Great stuff. Some lovely thoughts here, Fazil.
